The PMS-5290R is a industrial panel PC support Pentium® 4 Processors with HT Technology that enables higher data throughput of multi-threaded code and greater overall system performance for today's fast-paced, interactive and other demanding applications.
The PMS-5290R southbridge chipset supports RAID 0 and RAID 1 SATA RAID. When using RAID 0 the system stripes data across two disks. Read/write speeds dramatically increase ensuring enhanced performance. RAID 1 mirrors data onto two disks. If one disk fails the system can continue to run because the operational disk continues to operate. RAID 1 ensures no data is lost if one disk fails.
The dual removable 3.5" HDD modules on the PMS-5290R with hot-swap capabilities ensure simplified data storage backup and replacement, an essential feature in data intensive applications. Removable HDD modules enable easier storage capacity expansion and facilitates data mobility. One HDD is viewed by the PPC as a master drive and the other as a slave drive.

standard 32-bit PCI slot for various PCI add-on card, one PCI-E x
