BSI is a manufacturer of high-end PC systems in portable, and industrial rack-mount designs for use in business, research, engineering and industrial settings. Founded in 1986, BSI is one of the pioneers in the portable computer industry. We started by producing a transportable PC with an integrated monochrome CRT display. In 1987, our monochrome CRT was upgraded with a color CRT supporting CGA, EGA and eventually VGA graphics modes. At COMDEX 1987, BSI introduced its first flat panel portable PC. It had a baby-AT motherboard, back-lit super-twisted monochrome LCD display. It represented BSI's
successful effort in reducing the overall size and weight of a portable PC while retaining all the expansion capacities of a desktop computer. Since then, BSI has continued to expand to the current lines we now have. Our primary mission is to provide state-of-the-art computer systems for mobile and industrial computing needs. We are staffed with highly trained engineers with backgrounds in in electrical engineering and computer science. New Rugged Server Is Portable Anywhere, Under Any Condition On Open Sea Or Land Field Go L9 Broadax Systems Inc. has introduced a new Multi-Slot portable to its line of popular FieldGo systems. The FieldGo L9 is a very powerful unit that can be used for different type of applications. Its wide array of different configurations assures you that there is nothing this system cannot handle. The FieldGo L9 is so versatile it can be used in the field on rough terrain, harsh climate at sea or running tests while in mid-air. The FieldGo L9 Series comes outfitted with a 20.1” TFT high-resolution flat panel display at 1600 X 1200 Pixels resolution. It also comes equipped with an integral detachable fold down keyboard with built-in touch pad pointing device. An optional water and dust proof keyboard is available. The FieldGo L9 has enough capacity for eight externally accessible drives; two of which are 5.25” and six 3.5”. All this is housed in a Ruggedized aluminum alloy chassis with shock-mounted drive bays. The hard-anodized surface meets MIL-A-8625E Type II/III standards. Standard equipment on the FieldGo L9 is dual Intel Xeon 2.8GHz(512K L2 CACHE 533FSB) CPUs (optional Intel Pentium-D processor), 512 MB Double Data Rate (DDR) Memory, 40 Gigabyte Hard Drive and a 52X CD-Rom. The standard ATX Form-Factor motherboard includes an integrated 8MB ATI Rage XL graphics controller, Integrated Intel 82541 Gigabit LAN and Intel 82550 10/100 LAN, 5 USB ports, 2 fast UART 16550 serial ports and 1 parallel port. This Motherboard can accommodate 5 32-bit PCI cards, has 2 ultra DMA connections along with 2 Serial ATA RAID connections. A standard 400W ATX PFC 110/220 VAC Power Supply is what powers the FieldGo L9. Also standard are amplified built-in stereo speakers.
