The tBOX500-510-FL is a fan-less embedded vehicle PC operating on a SoC chipset, which supports 7th generation Intel i3, i5, i7 and Celeron processors. The chassis for the system is constructed using Aluminum extrusion and heavy-duty steel having an IP rating of 30. The I/O for the unit is installed with COM ports as either DB9 serial console or RS-232/422/485. The interface is also equipped with USB 3.0, 10/100/1000 Mbps LAN, and DVI-I.

Memory for the system supports DDR4-1866/2133 SO-DIMM, up to a capacity of 32GB. As for storage options, the user is given two swappable 2.5" SATA drive to work with as well as an mSATA slot after using one of the three full-sized PCI Express Mini Card slot. Furthermore there are also two SIM card slots and two value-added module slots available for use. Additional power options are also provided to the user and have the choice between an M12 or Terminal block DC-in. If desired, the system also has an option of running on PoE power-in with a maximum power output of 120W. The operational temperature range for the system is dependent on what kind of hard drive is installed. If the user installs an SSD, the operational temperature ranges between -40°C and +70°C while for an HDD the range would be set between -25°C and +55°C. The tBOX500-510-FL has the option to wall mounted if the user wishes to do so.
